P633 will not clear - Any ideas why?
P633 will not clear - Any ideas why?
I have a code, P633 wrong key or something like that.
This may be from when the jerk that tried to steal my truck 10 days after I bought it back in 03. He did $2200 of damage to the dash and steering column but because I had the factory security system he was sh out of luck stealing it.
The dealer did the repair and everything has been fine.
Fast forward to last week, my Lift pump went south as I pulled into the driveway after a 120mi drive, lucky for me it happened here in the driveway. I checked on the site about the codes I found and confirmed the lift pump code and then noticed the P633, I just replaced the lift pump with one from Genos, thank you again Genos....
Next I plugged in my OBD-II scanner to clear the codes and the P628 (Lift Pump) cleared but the P633 WILL NOT CLEAR!!!!!
What is up with that, can it not be cleared at all?
It has been in the system since 03 I think.
Any ideas?

When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0633-SKIM SECRET KEY NOT ENTERED
When Monitored: While the key is on.
Set Condition: The SKIM secret key was not calibrated into the ECM.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
IMPROPER IGNITION KEY IS BEING USED
SKIM DTC’S
SKIM NOT CALIBRATED PROPERLY
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 With the DRBIIIt, read SKIM DTCs.
Are any SKIM DTC’s present?
Yes .
Repair all SKIM DTC’s first.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER -1 (DIESEL).
No .
Go To 2
All
2 Verify that the proper ignition key is in the ignition lock on the steering column.
Are the proper keys being used?
Yes .
Go To 3
No .
Use the proper key for the vehicle.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER -1 (DIESEL).
All
3 Using the DRBIIIt, recalibrate the ECM with the proper SKIM secret key.
With the DRBIIIt, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch from on to off to on.
With the DRBIIIt, read DTCs.
Did the DTC reset?
Yes .
Test Complete.
No .
Verify information is correct and replace ECM.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER -1 (DIESEL).
