overhead

i am new to the dodge, and my truck i just got doesn't have an owners manual in it.
i was wondering what the 3 buttons just above the displace on the over head are for?
each button has a 1 or 2 or 3 dot infront of it, i will guess that these are for a garage door opener, but if so, how do you program them?
also have the CD and cassett player, and was wondering if the 6 disc is different from what i have. i haven't tried to stick more then one CD in at a time, but there are buttons there ,disc 1,through disc 5 that i can't figure out.
on a side note, any one install a sub box as their middle seat in a 3rd gen Dodge?
if so, where did you order it from and how does it sound?
what size sub and are you running it withn an amp and line leveler to the factory head unit?
thanks

The . .. ... are your homelink buttons. You can program your garage door openers with those buttons and use the buttons instead of the remote for your garage door. The homelink can also be programmed anything else that is homelink compatible (i.e front lights, inside lights).
You really need to get your manuals asap. There is a section in there how to program alot of things in your truck. For the openers with rolling codes, you need to follow EXACTLY what it says. If you follow it correctly, it is very easy.

There are a bunch of Ram owners manuals listed on eBay, you need to fillout your signature so we all know what year your truck is, then we can help. Welcome to this board and site, there is a ton of info at your finger tips here, just ask.

thanks for the replies. i was just at the dealer, and have some recalls to do tomorrow.
i talked to them about the manual, and they gave me a form to fill out and send in ,it will cost me roughly 14 bucks for the manual.
they did tell me that they are for home link stuff , like garage door opens, etc.

Yes it can be added. You need to replace the overhead module in the overhead console. Simple, just plug it in. There was a past thread about this, you can probably find it in a search for "homelink".

Grizzly- YES YOU CAN! I did on mine. It's really plug'n'play, BUT, if you get a spankin new one, the default fuel tank setting on these are 26. If you want your DTE to be correct, you will need to go to the dealer and have it programmed to read your tank size (34 or 36 if I'm correct on the other size). I got mine off e-bay for 57 bucks. Went to the dealer and they programmed the tank capacity to 34 and no charge.
