ordered parts

Today I ordered my new autometer5 gauge kit with pod, mag-tec trans cover, mag-tec diff cover, double shock steering stabilizer. Waited all winter for the weather to change and I can't wait till the parts come. Just put on my summer tires now that we won't be getting anymore SNOW I hope. Anyway excited about the warmer weather and working on truck.

Heck - I have three foot of snow on the level and piles from snow plowing that are 10 feet high...at this rate - we'll have snow straight-through till next winter

It's raining here for the next three days. Snow is all gone. I just cleaned my whole truck in and out. It's not coming out of the garage untill this weather passes. Rough keeping these trucks clean. And it's not like you can detail them in an hour, It takes a while to do a good job.

Smarty jr won't hurt your trans unless you beat the crap out of your truck. You can ruin your trans even when the truck is stock. If you get carried away then yes the trans is going bye bye.

My jr hasn't hurt my tranny in the 70,000 miles I've run it. I guess if you want to you can put 600 lbs of torque to it, and with my jr I probably do about the same. Just that I have a couple hundred more pounds of torque in reserve yet...

I would like a programmer to get better mpg but I am also worried about killing the tranny. I do not plan on doing any power mods and dont really care to upgrade my tranny to be able to handle any of that.

Handle what power? If the trans will handle 325 HP and 610 tq, and you only give it 150hp and 300 tq, why would you worry about it?

Get the Smarty. Enjoy the response of the throttle, the increased mileage and the longer running engine....

Don't know if the last one is true, but those of us with Smarty jr's don't seem to have as many problems.

I think the timing changes are beneficial for the engine.
