One Inch Lift for 4X2 Front End

I want to raise the front end of my 06 4X2 about 1.5". Are there metal coil spacers avialable? If so, who carries them? Or, are the poly's OK? I have a friend telling me they may wear out.
Thanks
David

Hi and welcome to DTR. There are several leveling kits for the 2wd. I'm running the Daystar 1.5 inch, but personally, I wish I would have gone with a 2 in. Heres a pic and you can see for yourself what the 1.5 inch looks like:

Thanks TX, I'm on duty here in St. Louis. Was the install fairly involved? How did it affect the ride? Will an alignment be needed when done?
Thanks

Im at the station today too! I had a local shop install it for me so I can't say on that, but as far as the ride, I can't tell any difference and yes, you will need to get the front end aligned.

TX,
Were any other mods needed as a result of raising the front end? i.e. shocks, brake lines, pitman, etc

No, not for the 1.5 in. I believe that if you go with anything more than a 1.5 inch then there are mods involved.

Looks good!

Personally I would go with the 1.5" if you tow heavy. Don't want to look like a Ford going down the road!!

I did the 2.5" Daystars on my truck. You do have to put longer shocks in.

bigjohn, was that the only change you had to make with the 2.5"s? Did you do the install yourself?

1 and 1/2 or 2 inch lift

I have a 4x2 and would like to level the truck. I was thinking if it is possible to change the front end springs to raise the front end. Does anybody know what lenght the stock springs are? Does anybody know what length the spirings would have to be? Thanks guys for all of the help.

with the 2.5 all you had to do was put new shocks? Whats size? Does it level the truck out perfect or is the back a little lower? Id like to have the baja stance!

if it's the same as 4x4, you buy the springs by lift height. 2", 4", or 6". the other difference is the spring rate, which will tell you how stiff the spring will ride.

Wes, that is a pic of it with the leveling kit and 265's (because of the 18" rims the 285's rubbed. Here is a pic of it with lift, stocker rims and 285's:
