OEM Satellite Radio won't work, rest of radio works

The radio, CD and minijack functions in my radio work great.
But the satellite radio just stopped working about a week ago.

The display flashes, but no sound comes out. The ***** and most buttons are totally unresponsive. The only thing that works is to leave satellite radio mode (via AM/FM or MODE buttons), then everything works normally.

The dealer replaced the entire head unit...and the new one does the exact same thing.

Here's a video of the problem:

Anyone see anything like it?
Any idea of a solution?

Funny, mine did something similar about a week ago too!
Mine is stuck on ch. 184 Can't change it. Can't hear anything.
Everything else with the radio is fine. Dealer said I needed a new receiver.(Warranty)

Maybe yours went too?

Mine's currently down too. Not the factory radio, but same problem. So i called sirius and told them what was going on...same as you guys, everything but the sat works... anyway. I told the tech what was going on and he said that you have to unplug the sat tuner (if you have one) and plug it back in. Kinda like shutting your cell or computer off and turning it back on to restart it. I havnt tried it yet cause i'm dreading tearing the dash apart in the caddy so i cant tell ya if thats the problem or not, but .......

Have you tried disconnecting the neg. battery terminals for about 15 mins.?
I had problems switching to Aux. mode after using a programmer, battery disconnect solved my problem.

The entire head unit was replaced under warranty and the problem is still there.

The satellite tuner is integrated into the head unit (at least I think it is) so I don't think I can unplug it.

They reflashed the car's ECU, even though I have no idea why they thought this would have anything to do with the head unit.

I'll try calling Sirius. I hope they don't need the numbers off satellite receiver ID number...I can't tune to the channel to get it...and the head unit isn't the OEM one anymore (it was replaced) so I hope the VIN will help...

Mine did this too. I took it as a good reason to put in an aftermarket radio with satellite. I figured it would be easier to do this than dealing with the dealer. The amount of potential time invloved wasn't worth it.

I had the same thing happen little over a month ago. I called sirius and they sent an initialazation command down to the radio which finally turned it on. The tech actually had to do it twice before it would work.

Same senario here> All Idid was call and have them to re-send signal to head unit, took about 3 times.

Mine also stopped working. Dealer is ordering a new receiver. I'll advise the outcome in a few days.

Mines in the bodyshop right now.
When it's done, it's off to the dealer and - since I'm borrowing a company car - it will sit there until they can fix this satellite issue.

SoCal radio sux sooooo bad...

A couple of months ago mine switched to channel 184 and wouldn't switch off. I called Sirius and they reset the signal to the receiver and it's been fine ever since.
