Odometer Difference

NEW TIRES 285 75 17 . HAVE NOT GOT THE RECAL DONE YET. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN THE STOCK TIRES AS FAR AS DISTANCE COVERED.

Find the diameter of your old tires as well as the new tires. Then, using the formula calculate the circumference of each. The circumference will equal the distance traveled in one revolution of the tire. Once you know this for each, you will know the difference.

I checked my 285s against a GPS. It's off by 4%. Just add 2mph to the speedo at 50mph, 4 at 100 .

when calculating fuel mileage multiply miles driven by 1.033 , for correct mileage.
