No stereo after recall

So the wife took the truck down to get the G30 recall done and a lube job. Now the stereo will not turn on. I do have an aftermarket deck, amps and speakers but it is just an adapter the deck plugs into to get its power. When they do the computer flash or update or whatever you want to call it is it possible that is whats causing the problem?

I put an aftermarket stereo in my 06 5.9 and they had to completely wire the system to "Fool" the computer!!! I can't believe how computerized these things are!!

Did you get a canbus adapter to get acc power to your headunit, or did you run new wires?

A stereo shop did all the work and they installed an adapter that plugs into the factory harness. I assume that is the canbus adapter you mentioned.
