Recently my parking lights stopped flashing when I went to unlock/lock my truck via the keyless entry fob. The dome light still comes on, and the horn still honks and the locks still work.

Any ideas?

 

I knew it was an 06 before reading, they seem to have more electrical problems the all the other years put together...

Unhook both Batteries for a least 1/2 hour, this seems to reset most of the weired problems...

Mine's been doing it off and on for about a year now. If I hit the key fob again, the lights flash. Everything else works as designed, so I've decided I'm just not going to worry about it.

 

I reset mine , there is info in the owners manual on setting the lights to flash with lock and unlock, I think.

 

Okay, old post I know, but now my '06 is doing this and the reset listed above did not do anything. Anybody have any updates to this problem?

 

On my 06 there was something in the book how to arm this and disarm it, mine acted up and I just went through the key thing and it was all good, I sit on my keys all the time and set off the horn and I did disarm this at one time. good luck

 

Mine may be an 04.5 but it does the same thing on occasion. Sometimes the horn won't beep when I lock it using the fob or the lights won't flash. it still locks and unlocks OK, so no worries.
I got bigger things to worry about.

I wish I could figure out how to DISable the light flash on my 07! The sequence for the horn disable in the owner's manual didn't work on mine, had to get the dealership to do that with the starscan. GRRRRR!!!!! I see no useful purpose for either!
