No Dash Lights

Everything is working in my truck but I have no dash lights at night. To be more specific I have no backing lights that normally come on with the headlights (or parking lights). This is all of the dash, heater controls, and radio.

Anyone have any suggestions? I am kind of thinking the dimmer switch but I have not torn into it yet.

Thanks!

do you fog lamps work? if yes, then i would bet on the switch.
if no, then check fuse "41" and the "fog lamp relay"

My fog lights are working. I've checked all my fuses and they all appear to be good.

I will get a new switch ordered and hopefully that will do it. Thanks for the help!

well it still could be the instrument cluster, if you want to know for sure, test to see if you have any voltage on the violet/white wire coming out of the dimmer switch, when the headlight switch is turned on, the voltage should increase as you rotate the dimmer control

that is the wire that tells the instrument cluster how bright you want the lights.

I want to post this up.
I fixed my problems this weekend. I had no dash lights, no interior lights, no backup lights, no speedo, ABS light on.

What I found was 3 wires under my fuse panel had literally corroded and split apart. The same way that the rear door wires come apart. I cut, striped and soldered the wires back together. A little heat shrink and they are good as new. Everything in my truck works again.
