Well I did it. I traded my 01 2500 SLT+ on a 2004.5 Lamarie Quad, LWB, auto., 4:10, Atlantic Blue/Silver.
It is a very nice truck. The engine is so quiet and the ride is pretty good. I will be glad when it gets broken in and the fuel mileage goes up some. I was getting 18 to 22 with the 01. the trip computer on the 04 is showing 16.4 now.
I took the 01 in for a new lift pump a week ago Friday and just went to look at the new trucks. They wanted to trade me bad. I did not like the first deal so I left. They called me that night upping the price of my trade in. The sales man came to my house Saturday and left his business card in my door while I was away. I finaly called him on Wed. but still did not like the deal. The dealer's son and another man came to where I work wanting to look at my old truck. I told them I would go by after work and talk to them again. They upped the trade in on my old truck to almost what I payed for it 2.5 years ago. That is when I caved and signed the papers.

You should be ecstatic with that kind of mileage on a brand new truck with 4.10s. Mine has 1500 mi and the best hwy mileage I got was 16.3 this past weekend. Around town, the best I've gotten so far is 13.1.
