My stockers were a 265-70-17 I believe. They should fit on your stock rims with no problems.

Looks like you have an aftermarket rim that sticks them further out than stock. That may be why they rub slightly.
I've also noticed that the truck was a tad quicker with smaller tires but that is to be expected. These also throw rocks easier than the stock tread did but again that sort of comes with the territory.
-Nice shop btw-

Thanks, cruise by sometime and I'll show you my beer fridge...

I've been running a GPS lately and have a better idea of how off the gauges are. The speedo reads about 3 mph lower than I'm actually traveling. The tach reads what the motor is turning regardless so that didn't change. What did change was that with these tires alone I dropped 200 rpm at 60mph. (was running 2000 before and am now running 1800 at 60)
I'm still not ready to part with the $75 to recal my speedo and am not ready to spend the coin for a programmer either. I'll just live with it....
Just thought it would be worth updating...

2wd?
Has anyone run these or the 305/65/R17 size on a 2wd?
Currently running 285/70/R17 and at full lock not much room left between side wall and controll arm.

soutman how many miles do you have on the TGs now? I've got a little over 45K on my 325/70R17D Terra Grapplers and look like I have probably 15-20K left. I can't believe it, these things won't die. I've had the money set aside for a new set of tires for the past 15K miles and every time I look at them I am just amazed at how much tread I still have left. These tires are making it AWFULLY hard to go to anything different my next time around, though I think I've been bitten by the 37" bug...

Got same mounted on my truck two weeks ago. . .they replaced BFG AT 315/70/17s, got 42K out of them. So far the new Nitto TG 305/70/17 Es seem to ride better and there is less than 1 inch diff in height between the two. 34.6 vs 35.4 or there about. $900 for the set of 4.

It's been a long time since I first started this thread but figured I was due an update...
I loved the first set of these tires so much that I bought an identical set a few months back. The first set had about 45K miles on them with about 3/16" of tread left. I wanted to go ahead and pull them so I could use them for an offroad trailer I'm looking to build and have matched tires.
I've never had any problems out of them and keep them aired up to 50-55 psi for average driving and pump them up to 65 when I'm pulling a heavy load.

The dealer can only recalibrate to a 285-70-17 on that year. A Smarty jr. would wake up that truck, not kill the stock clutch on the low setting and give you the ability to recalibrate.

Reviving an old thread... LOL
But I've got 101,475 miles on my set of 305/70 17E Nitto Terra Grapplers! Waiting for my new set to arrive any day now!
