Really?? Huh.. I've got about 20k on mine so far and I'm at about 60 to 50% tread life left on them.

I never listen to tire wear reports, as they are too subjective. No one can ever be sure about the driving habits of the owner or environments that the reported tires are driven in. Also there are too many variables between different sizes and specs of the same tire, i.e. Nitto Terra Grappler.

Take it with a grain of salt.

This tire size can be installed with no lift or leveling kit added, and no rubbing issues?

Your truck looks great BTW!

That is correct.

Thanks.

I took a few more picts yesterday at the farm that I'll upload soon.

I had a request for a status...

I love the size. It fills out the wheelwells perfectly in my opinion. I have noticed that I fling a few more rocks with the larger voids in the tread compared to stockers. The wider tire will sling any road water/mud onto the side of the truck too but oh well.

I only have a few thousand miles so far so it's hard to tell about the wear but I rotate often so they should be ok.

Keep in mind that these have a good bit more sidewall than stock tires so they will handle different than stock, some may notice and others may not.

I haven't gotten my speedometer recalibrated so I can't accurately report on my numbers (mpg, speed at rpm, etc).

I've hauled a big load and they handled great. Since they're rated for more weight than some E tires, the max pressure is 65 and not 85 like some.

Tread is well balanced and grips like I think an AT tire should.

You will notice that your seat is not where it used to be. It's inch or so higher. This will be obvious from the first time you get in.

I still owe those picts I promised...

Traction status...

I was out at the farm cutting firewood this past weekend. It had been raining for over a week straight so everything was very sloppy. They did fine driving across the fields pulling a 16' trailer. I backed down a ravine and loaded about 2 cords of wood onto the trailer and was still able to drive out. It took some spinning but I was amazed that I was able to drive out under my own power pulling a fully loaded trailer.

I did get stuck later that day but the ground was extremely soft in that place and the tires sank about 6" into the mud. Oh well.

I still owe picts...

I have the very same truck, and the same tires, installed about 20000 miles back, they are great, wear is very good, maybe down 15%, so they should last a long time, I run them with empty truck, 50 front, 40 rear, I gives a decent ride, one thing balance and retate at 5000 miles, or you will start getting some tread noise, good choice on your tires.

I know it's an older thread.... but, since I have some useful input, thought I'd post it..

I don't have any complaints on these tires. (305/70/r17) The truck definitely sits higher, handles just a little worse and has a low speed hum. Not that any of this was unexpected from an oversized, semi aggressive tire. They also rub the plastic air dam just a tad while turning on uneven surfaces. (I only notice it while backing) I've had them for about 6 months now.

I like them but, it was alot faster with the smaller tires

305/60/r17 nitto don't remember

Looks like you have an aftermarket rim that sticks them further out than stock. That may be why they rub slightly.

I've also noticed that the truck was a tad quicker with smaller tires but that is to be expected. These also throw rocks easier than the stock tread did but again that sort of comes with the territory.

-Nice shop btw-
