Aisin's website says they only make manual transmissions...

Someone needs to remind them to update their website.

I guess we will just have to wait a little longer. I live in Ohio and the biggest commercial Dodge truck dealer in the state told me about the 4500/5500 trucks. He even quoted GVW ratings. All of the info he has passed along so far is correct except the part about there being a 3500 c/c. Although I am beginning to wonder about the Sterling part of this deal because all you would need now to make the heavier trucks is bigger front and rear ends and you got the bigger series trucks.

Kinda off topic but I think the LB MC is in the pipe, take the QC CC with the 84" cab to axle and you have a frame long enough for it.

They don't make an 84" ca quad cab, only 60" ca. Only way to get an 84" ca is on the regular cab and that is on a 163.5" wheelbase which is only 3" longer than a megacab chassis. Besides, this frame is all together different, it is a "C chanel" instead of boxed tube.

Only thing that concerns me is mileage. I hope the mileage doesn't get worse than what we have now.

It pretty much has to-more cubic inches to feed and more power if the "hinted at" power levels are true.

I think that will be the main selling point of new trucks in the next couple of years.

Heck, my 03' 250hp S.O.'s had enough power, and they would get 20mpg if driven right. My 04's and 05's, not even close. I got enough power, heck, I've pulled 25k with my ol 160hp first gen, I wish they'd go back to an s.o./h.o. type deal and make the s.o. more fuel effecient. I pull more weight than most, and I could get by.
