New key
New key
I need a new Key less entry Key. The dealer told me 199.00 for the key less and 99.00 for sentry key with no remote. Just the door key was 20.00 not to bad. My question is has any body found them for any cheaper?
I believe there's a process to program your own but if I recall correctly, you need two already programed keys present otherwise it's dealer only Stinks but that's the way it goes sometimes Be thankful it's a key your going in for, and not an injector pump.
You're paying way too much at the dealership.
I got a transponder key (no remote functions, but opens doors and starts engine) for about $20 from these guys:
https://www.ikeyless.com/
Key w/remote is about $120
These are uncut, and you also need to program them to your car.
It's easy to do for a transponder key (to start the engine). I don't know the procedure to do it for the remote functions.

Don't forget about the lock and key places. Like others have said, get the blank over the internet. Remember also, most places charge a flat rate for programming. One key or ten, as long as they're all the same.
I lost one of my remote keys recently. Called the dealer and they wanted $185 for a new key plus $100 to program it. So much for that dead end!
Got a new remote key( opens power door locks and runs truck) for $105 on e bay plus 2 sentry keys(Start and run truck but won't open power door locks) for $17 each. Got the same guy that the dealer uses to cut and program all 3 keys for $45 .
It's true that you can program them yourself if you have 2 programmed keys. It tells you in your owners manual how to do it. If I had realized how costly it was to replace these chipped keys I would have bought a couple of new sentry keys and programmed them myself for back up. Once you are down to one key you've got to pay someone the $$$ to get it done. That is a lesson learned. So learn from my mistake and get a spare key or 2 while you can do it yourself.

Got one done today at Ace Hardware. 75.00 for the sentry key and programming. At 199.00 for the keyless, you would be better off having an alarm system with keyless installed. around here, you can have one put in for less than 200 bucks.
Thanks for all the input. I found some on line. Transponder key 20.00 and the key-less for 105.00. I will probably go with that combo and have one programed and do the other my self.
