New guy, New to me truck question

Recently purchased a 06' 3500 megacab with the CTD. Got a really good deal from the dealer since my family has purchased 27 vehicles from them in the last 8 years. The truck had 1743 miles on it and I had them throw in leather (slt trim), tinted windows, and running boards.

Anyways, onto my question:

The "wait to start" light never comes on. I have driven Class A's and B's and numerous smaller diesel equipped trucks and I have never not seen this light come on. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Doesn't come on on the newer 3rd gens above 60 degrees. You should be fine. Have to wait for cold weather to make sure though!

If it is warm enough outside I never see mine either.

However in the winter it does come on.

Thanks. I was thinking it was going to be something along those lines but wanted to make sure. I live in Texas so it will be awhile before I see the light come on.

LOL 43* is that all?

Man come to Indiana. Last winter it was -5* for a month. That’s when you get to see your lights dim and get bright, dim, bright, dim, bright dim, bright, dim, bright. If it's 43* here these people are hot. It's 89* and 40% humidity now and my wife (that’s from here) is dieing. LOL I know how you feel though I'm a transplant from Alabama up here now and I'm just getting warm. :|

Its not called Sunny Florida for nothing! Its more for the fall/winter/spring months though. Its been raining almost every day for I dont know how long now. We needed it badly though.

Well I traded in my 04 Jeep rubicon on the truck and I had purchased the jeep new and only turned on the AC 2 times when my daughter was riding with me. Before that I had a 99 Jeep Sahara and I only turned on the AC 1 time while we were rockcrawling in Oklahoma. I usually just pulled the windows off.

I grew up in Louisiana and live in Texas, I hate cold weather. I would rather have 90+ temps for 6 months than below 50 temps for 2.
