Group 31s are longer in length than the OEM group 65. If you want AGM batteries. I recommend you look at the Diehard Platinum group 65 batteries sold at Sears. They are rebadged Odyssey batteries manufactured in the US by Enersys. I use them in my vehicles and have nothing but good to say about them. I have commented quite a bit on the DTR about them. Search this site for additional information.

Manufactured in Mexico and have suffered some quality related issues over the past few years.

You can save 50 dollars off the cost of 2 Sears Diehard batteries if you order online using Code SAVE50. Then you can pick them up in the store.

Rail Man,

Group 31's fit nicely into the unit with the following mods.

There is no room for the "blankies" but they are not needed on a commercial series battery.

I had to extend the small ground cable (drivers side) to the frame a couple of inches.

I rebuilt the hold-down bracket for the heavier batteries.

They (AAP) offer a 30 percent off discount code when you place an order online for in store pickup.
