Need new batteries
Just went outside to start the truck after it sitting for the past 6 weeks..... Quess what????
She'll barely turn over. I have a charger on her now. I have the Optima Red tops. Even if they accept a charge I'd feel better in replacing them. They're only 4 years old.
Any opinions if I should get the same Red Tops or get the yellow deep cycle,,, or any other brand fro that matter.
Thanks.

I've accidentally run my red tops down to absolute zero twice by leaving the key on and they're still going strong after six years. I won't use any other type of battery from now on.
Not unusual at all that your batteries were dead after six weeks, Dodge recommends a charging or driving around at least every 21 days due to the key off current draw.

i have a red top that i have had for about 6 years now. ran it dead about two years ago by leaving the dome light on in my 97 v10 truck for 3months when i had the blower crank pulley come off on me . it took paxton 3 months to send me a new pulley and when i went to start the truck it was so dead i recharged it load tested it and i still have it in my 1970 chevy and its going strong. so i would just charge it load test it and go from there if it tests good keep it . by the way this red tops been in four of my trucks so far .
