Call me paranoid but I have a fear of them allowing customers to test drive my truck when it arrives so I stipulated that it have less than 10 miles when I pick it up. The salesman said that the trucks normally arrive with 1-2 miles on them and then they "road test" them for another 10 miles. That kinda made me nervous because I can't imagine what they need to test for in 10 miles so I told the salesman that he had 2 options. He could either forego the road test or have me there to ride along. He said he couldn't skip the road test because it's part of the state's safety inspection. Hope I didn't **** them off!

MedicShawn I feel your pain. Post any new updates that you get please and I'll do the same.

Well, I couldn't stand it any longer and made another call today to cust. serv. (3rd day in a row.....I had been doing it once/week). They said my truck is in "storage" or the "JS" code and didn't know when it would be out. She told me to call back in a week.....yeah right! If I don't call tomorrow it will be a miracle!

CONGRATS on the new arrival, you lucky dog. You're not going to get any sleep now, haha. Make sure to get us some pictures as soon as possible. If you don't have a digital camera, tell me your address and I'll buy one and send it to you!!

I hope to have some photos soon. Had to make a tough decision that will delay our pickup from the dealer until Monday the 19th. At the moment our financing was
through Chrysler Canada for the 3 years at 0%. That offer expires on the 19th
and new offer will be presented. If Canada follows the US numbers, it’ll be
four years at 0%. The dealer won’t know until Monday. We’ve scheduled
Monday evening at 7:00 for pick up. Dealership will go with the best of the two
offers. It’s going to be the longest two day weekend I’ve ever had. Sorry for
the delay guys, but I’ll get those pictures out as soon as I can. The salesman
did suggest to the manager, we take delivery sooner and finish the paper work
Monday, but the manager says no can do.

I think

I think I'll go by the dealership Thursday night and get some pictures of the engine anyway. It might not look too much different on the outside, but I'm looking for some marking for the 325/600. I'm told that there should be an embossed label on the side of the valve cover. It was on the 305/555.

Don't worry about the road tests. When I was at Ford we usedta run the Mustang GT's up pretty hard. Lots of smoke from the rear wheels but hardly anything showing on the odometers. How do you think I learned to sidestep a clutch??? We'd also yank the speedo cables (when they had them) and drive them for a weekend. Oh the good ol days.....

Smile I'm going to look at one tomorrow.

Dealer called and they have several in stock here. Pondering adding one to the fleet.

Thanks you guys. Because of your comments, I've set up a pup tent at the back of the dealership, out of site. Don't worry. I'll be making snap inspections. Checking for fingerprints on the steering wheel. I've already warned them, nobody drives it but the mechanic doing the PDI and he only gets to drive from one service bay to the other. If I find out my poor little Cummins was abused, I'll hook 'er up to a few of their cars on the lot and play the old game of 'guess my torque'

Yep, same here. I'll be traveling to SLC-300 miles and either get the 555 or the 600. I was set on the 555 but I talked to them today and they had 600s in stock...well, so they say. Only if it's a 6spd though.

A certain dealer I used to work for, who is no longer in business, use to do that years ago. Unhooked the speedo cable and put almost 1000 miles on a Chrysler New Yorker before delivery. You wonder why I don't trust them?

handymantim I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

I got the same lack of compassion from customer service. Seems to me customer service should have a little more emphasis on customer service.

I'll be calling Customer service again tomorrow, I think I'll step up to twice a day inquires starting tomorrow.

Hopefully the people who built my truck are more competent than the people at customer service.

It must be luck of who you get to talk to, The three times I,ve called they seemed very helpful. 1st time got my VIN, second time
a build date , Yesterday they said it was built 3 days early and already heading for the border

Just wondering what the phone number is to call and get the status on an ordered truck. I remember seeing it on a post somewhere here but can't find it. Thanks.

I'm a bit puzzled. Is the ETH and ETC still available for factory order as 600 and 555 torque versions? The dealer seemed to think that its only the 600 that you can order now. Rod was saying earlier that he was sure you could order both...the dealer added that the last 3 trucks ordered were supposed to be ETC autos and they all showed up as the 600 versions.
