Here are the wheel well liners. I have them and consider it one of the best things I have bought for the truck thus far:

FWIW, I bought mine from my local dealer and ended up paying less than what it would have been to order online after shipping.

As far as steps are concerned, since you live in the NE I would suggest a tubular type step rather than a full running board. The reason being is you admittedly will drive in conditions that have snow and salt built up on the roads. The full running boards will collect all that gunk underneath them and, unless you are on top of cleaning it off, corrode the under side of the running boards as well as sit on top of the boards up against the cab of the truck. With tubular style nerf bars, the slush and salt will fall off easier and be easier to clean off. It will also keep slush and salt from sitting against the cab of the truck and corroding it. Just my $.02 on the subject, hope this helps.

I think I going to get a set of flat bars from the dealer that look more like running boards but are flat bars and are open in the back. Like these

I beg to differ on this I live in a area where the roads are salted and snowed on. i did not have this problem that you speak of. I did put a small mud flap before the front of the running board on the front. as for rusting that is why you get stainless. the running boards will keep rocks and such from coming up on the side of the vehicle, I had the tube type on my last truck not a good choice where i live.
