New '07 door weatherstripping

Just saw a new 07 and there appears to be a weatherstripping change that I think would make the cabs much quieter. The windshield-door A pillar has an edge on it that would catch the wind instead of the door. There is a piece that seals between the front and rear door. Any one seen these and can they be put on an 03? Getting rid of some wind noise would be nice.

Yeah, I first noticed them on an '06. If you've ever had slush pile up on the windshield/door juncture and then opened the door you'll know what the new style is good for! I was pretty tired of cleaning out the door storage pocket by the time I saw the new seals so I went to the dealer and ordered a pair. Fit right on my '05
Windshield/door moldings
1-55277187AC-Left $39.95
1-55277186AC-Right $39.95

Does it cut down on your wind noise on the highway?

Im kinda interested in this too, do you have any pictures of them before and after? Sometimes on the highway if the wind is blowing right you can't even hear yourself think. Mine aren't ripped or anything either they are in perfect condition. I remember reading just after I had bought my 05 when the 06's came out that one of the selling features of the 06 was the new door seals and quieter interior that they boasted was 60% quieter than prior models.

They will help with the wind noise you are experiencing. I had that issue on my 04.5. I drove my 06 46k miles and my 07 now has 3000 miles. The wind has to gust to over 40mph before I experience the wind noise caused from a seal opening up.

Another thing they did in 06 to quiet the interior was go to laminated glass on the side windows. I think they actually went back to the old glass because they had too many issues with cracked windows. The laminated glass was a little thicker.
