My remote unlock "light flash" has magically disabled itself!

As shipped, my 2006 3500 would flash its parking lights whenever I unlocked using the remote. Now, with no intentional action on my part, that's no longer true. The remote works just fine but the lights don't flash anymore.

I actually prefer it this way, but wasn't aware this was a configurable option. Is it? Or did "something" happen"?

I remeber reading something about that in the owner's manual (how to enable/disable).

You did read your manual didn't you?

It's some sequence of holding the unlock button then pressing the panic button (or something like that) I just read it too.

The "magic" probably happened while they keys were in your pocket

There is one trick for unlocking all 4 with a single press of the button, another sequence that defeats the BEEP at lock up.

Yes, I read the manual but I'm at work and can't remember if this was one of the intentional options or not.

On a related note, my rolling locks stopped locking a few weeks ago. Can't say it bothers me and the cure is only an owners manual page away.

I'm not sure what happened though. Maybe something magically happened while the keys were in my pocket.....or my soon to be three year old had something to do with it.

Wanna hear something NOT funny? After posting in this thread, I go out to my truck to run out and get a gallon of milk...........MY lights aren't flashing anymore! I was messing around with it the other day, trying to get the "all unlock" thing to work, (never did), but apparently I got something ELSE to. This is not the effect I was looking for. Now, my horn STILL honks, but no parking light flash???

Your owners manual tells you how to able/disable all those extra features. The one thing I found when doing some of the extra feature things was, only do them once and skip the part about the bell chime to signiaify it worked. I think the bell chime is what screws everyone up thinking that if they didn't hear the chime the feature did not get abled/disabled like they want so they keep doing the feature over and over screwing up more things.
