I got mine from auto profection dot com for $66 including shipping. Yes profection not perfection. They may be available cheaper elsewhere. Hope this helps.

Larv, it can't be hard to get on Google and find them. Or go to piaa's web site and find a dealer possibly.. Also consider doing a search, these bulbs were discussed at length some time ago.

Ok Larv that was a whole 30 seconds. They have them at tire rack, I'm not sure this link will work, but they are probably easy to find. I have the xtreme white's.

Your favorite parts store can order them but not the cheapest way to go. Lots of web sites sell them, search auto accessories. I think AutoBarn has them at a better price.
This has become an interesting thread. Yesterday (Tuesday Oct. 19) NHTSA pressured a Texas HID retrofitter to recall their lites because they exceed glare standard. In their press release the NHTSA says it's part of a continued crack-down.

Well I visit friends in the midwest that the nearest anything is 40 plus miles.Interesting thing is NONE of the cattle ranchers I know complain about headlights or use any aftermarket lights whats so ever.Break down or hit a critter in the Sandhills of Nebraska.Not much differant then what you descride in the GREAT frozen north.0 degrees and constant winds.They all drive diesel trucks for the most part or 20 year old work trucks.The NEAREST auto dealer to one friend is 62 miles and mail is delivered TWICE weekly!.For off road use all the lights you want.But for any two lane or interstate driving any thing more is over kill.Granted NO moose but lots of cattle,mule deer and horses.

Well hound dog, that's clearly your opinion, and it differs from most of ours, who like good headlights. I can only assume your opinions are due to never having a vehicle with truly good headlights so you think what you have is great, or not seeing well enough to tell the difference.

Somehow I don't think any of those cattle ranchers have had any lighting better than the average pickup truck either...not too many ranchers with xenon bmws, audis, or mb's that I've seen. Not because they can't afford them, but because they need trucks and there typically aren't mb dealers way out there..

Hounddog; Always good to read your posts makes me so happy I wanna PIAA my pants. Certainly your opinion is pretty firm and welcome. Myself I agree with Lightman, JimO, Festus, Lessica Jake, and most others who have posted. The bottom line for me is if it is LEGAL, improves driving SAFETY, and is used RESPONSIBLY I am all for it. There is always some rude person or persons who dont get it does not matter what it is. If driving around these sorts of folks (and there are many always around) really bothers you that much maybee you just need to stay home. Anyway come on up fishin sometime I'll take you 50 miles up the river in the jetboat and we can catch some salmon, heh I might even bring you back.

Basically, everything has already been said but I wanted to add my opinion.

My opinion is that both sides are right - sorta. I find the stock fog lights to be some of the best OEM fog lights I've seen (notice - OEM). The low beams are pretty good also (at least adequate.) The high beams are only OK. I've seen better and I've seen worse.

I find the high beams need to be supplemented when out away from traffic. They are fine when you will be meeting cars frequently and dimming your lights often but I'll be looking for some brighter driving lights to add when critters are more abundant than other cars.

My only complaint with other drivers lights is when they use them irresponsibly and/or they are not properly aimed. Fog lights on when meeting other traffic is the most common offense around here (not in fog).

Interesting thread.My neighbor who is a horse hauler(about 130k last 12 months)with a srw 3500 4x4 6 speed 3.73 gear does not read or mess with forums much.He asked me this morning at breakfeast what was the latest topic.I told him it was headlight issue.He said "whats wrong with the headlights"I told him.His reply was "Mine work fine! Been in snow,fog,heavy rains,floods etc.All over from Rhode Island to Texas".Said I never have had a issue seeing with the stock lights.His other comment was Well its like other things,you get a bee in your bonnent and can't let it go,its like "me'I think the six speed trans is the worst shifting trans I ever drove but my brother who drives a 18 wheeler said TO ME IT SHIFTS JUST FINE! By the way my neighbor still can't find the correct gear half the time and kinda just puts in the one it falls in and chugs on down the road.

I'll admit, these headlights are satisfactory for DC if they were on a Caravan or Neon. Like most of us here who run these rigs, bringing a 7000 lb+ truck to a stop in a hurry because of night time factors, isn't all that fun.

Now when you have a trailer full of sleds, quads, or a camper, work trailer, what have you, you have to admit, that extra stretch of lighted highway is alot more comforting.

This is what I expect of our high beams, next time your driving at night, in stead of pulling all the way back for high beams, go half way with the lever, you'll have to hold it there, but you'll see the change. Once you've SEEN THE LIGHT, pull all the way back and be prepared to be disappointed. Now your back to useless high beams!!

I agree Lightman.coming back from my cabin this morning,here in s.michigan.I was sure glad I had the PIAA lights instead of the stock JUNK lights.I ran the PIAA fogs on the back roads also.They deer here are thicker than theives.coobie

Re-lamped with Silverstars today, kind of an annoying job. Remember the good old days, when you could re-lamp a light without tearing the front end apart, just reach in the fender, pop out the old bulb, and stick in a new one. Then went to look at daughter's SX-2.0. Needs a fog lamp bulb...appears half the front skirt has to come off to do that one. Said many bad dodge words.
