My headlights suck!!

That time of year were i'm driving in the dark more (Morning and Evenings)

Anyone else out there disgusted with the performance of their headlights? I find I have to drive with the fog lamps on to see anything. Problem with this is that I people high beam me all the time. Personally, my high beams are useless.

Does any one how to get the fog lamps to stay on when you flip to high beams? Seeing other Rams on the road, it looks as if their fogs are brighter than their Dims.

Maybe adjustments are needed? I'd love to go to an Aftermarket setup. Any out there?

I noiticed that with the high beams on that they don't go as "far" as I was accustomed to with other headlights. The fog lights in combination with the headlights are extremly bright, but only up close, I have looked at mine myself and I'd probably not want to see them coming towrads me either. I figure I'll eventually get a light bar across the top, and put some flood lights on it, that way when I am out by myself on a back road I can see really clearly

Just a suggestion, but the Brite Box works wonders and is well worth the money. Haven't seen anything on here about it but there is a thread on the TDR.

Hella makes some retrofit kits, I'm not sure if they make them specifically for our trucks, but you may be able to rig up some sweet xenons. I agree the headlights aren't great, but changing out for the PIAA bulbs made a definite improvement for a pretty cheap price.

I am running the Sylvaina silverstars I believe, and it made a huge difference. The light is bright white, doesn't really throw any blue light like some and are D.O.T. approved. Not overly expensive and worth the try.

My trucks headlights are awesome but it's probably because of the lift. People bright me all the time and, if I turn my brights on...I could signal UFO's

I also went with the Sylvaina silverstars part number 9007ST They work great and are plug-in.
I also was unhappy with the stock lighting.

Go to genosgarage.com. They have a plug in module that will do what you want.

I use to have that problem also! Not any more!

The 2 outside PIAA's are their Ion Crystal Fog lights that run off the factory fog light switch.

The 2 inside PIAA's are their Super White Driving lights. I have them wired to come on whenever the running lights are on. I also have a switch inside to disable them. These lights really fill in the center light pattern of the low beams! They are great!

Then of course I have 3 KC Daylighters at 150 watts each and 385,000 candlepower each! These really light up the road! They are wired to come on with the high beams, but also have a switch inside to disable them. These light are unbelievable on the dark, lonely, unoccupied roads!

Sunglasses anyone?

I agree, the headlights are horrendous and I dont have the fog light option... Its a shocking difference when I jump in my wifes 4 year old expedition or my 16 year old ranger. The difference is incredible, my newest vehicle has the crappiest headlights.

The cost of Brite box is a joke. Over $200.

You can buy a decent set of aux lights for that.

Doesn't anybody make a harness like Caspers or Kennedy that uses direct battery and adds both high and low together for high? That costs $130 for a GM or Ford.

We don't have any problems with our headlights, people are constantly flashing their highs on us when we're running dim.
We are looking at Lightforce driving lights though, so we can see the wildlife further away. http://www.lightforce.com/
My brother in law works for RTL trucking, and runs from Edmonton to Yellowknife all winter. All the trucks at RTL have been/are being outfitted with Lightforce, with the exception of one who had them and then flashed his boss... whoops.
