I was just at a dealer by me and was quoted a tick over a grand to do a repair, some parts covered, some not, not sure if/ when I am going to do it.

was not able to walk away with the quote, guess they were going to throw parts at it, links and such. not sure what I want to do yet, wonder if I could get em to just do the balljoints under warranty. see if that helps, and see if I can get them to adjust caster, I just gotta make sure I word it to them which way to go correctly. Supposed to kick the axle forward or rearward ? I suppose I could finally install the thuren bar that I have had for 3 years and just haven't gotten around to installing.

I've had it several times, once at 70k miles started throwing money replacing parts, Bilstein shocks went on, steering box brace, alignment, thuren trac bar,08 upgrade linkage, skyjacker dual stabilizer's, new oem ball joints, then replaced BFG 315's with 285 Toyo's and problem went away guess it was tire problem. Now 120k problem back found bad skyjacker stabilizer shock so I replaced both and bad ball joints replaced with Dynatrac's new pro steer one's. So far a few days of driving have not had it again. Tires are worn and feathering so an alignment is due again.

Kevin,

Sounds like it's time to get new tires or have yours dynamically balanced. Tires are the biggest problem as you found out with the BFGs. No matter how good your front end is or how much money you throw at it, out of balance tires are the biggest problem. And especially if they are oversized.

Yea, seems I have just solved my death wobble problems. I have basically done the same thing as kevin. Plus I just got done this week adding the Dynatrac Pro Steer Ball Joints, and a Bilstein dual stabilizer. Seems like all of the play is out of mine. I originally had the Moog Ball Joints. Now I am fighting really bad bump steer.

I replaced my Moog B.J. two weeks ago and my steering wander is now gone! I have tried everything in the last 6 months to get the truck to drive right with no avail. Installed new O.E. and the truck drives like new again.
