I installed the modulite unit on my truck tonight so I now have a right turn/brake light on my 5er again. The problem is that when either signal light is on while the park lights are on the park lights dim when the signal light comes on. I did start the truck thinking maybe it was just a voltage drop since it was not running but that makes no difference. Any ideas?

 

Did you install the large power supply wire directly from the battery?

 

check your ground wire, it is probably loose or dirty, hope this helps,

They have a heavy gauge power supply wire on the website I ordered from for $10. I all problems solved for the three trailers I tow. If you didn't order that, might give it a try.http://www.hitches-forless.com/electrical/modulite.htm

 

If you used the scot locks to connect the wires you may not have made a good connection on the running light connection.

 

Thanks for the replies, went camping this weekend and just now getting on computer. I did order the power supply wire and used it. I will check the connection to the park lights. I used the factory ground wire that goes to the trailer plug.
