Mega Cab worth it ?
I came from a 99 ford crew cab, my wife talked me out of getting a supercab on that one and I never regretted it... Everything that makes a crew cab great makes the megacab that much better.
So rustyshackelford are you saying I have a littlemanvan with a girlie ****??
Guess I do, and it is a GREAT TRUCK!!!!! I came out of a Ford F-350 dually 4x4 Extended Cab. Now I know why I procrastinated so long, Dodge had to come out with the MegaCab to get my fence sitting over and done with, GREAT TRUCK.
Mine is set up to haul, I haul a GN flatbed with 12K load like it wasn't back there, I haul bumper pulls with similar loading as the GN flatbed, I haul a 8'widex32' GN horse trailer with a LQ that's like a room at a Holiday Inn and 3 Shire drafts that are around 9K standing on the rear axles, again like the trailer wasn't back there. The MegaCab or MegaLimo as I call it, is as roomy as most peoples luxury cars AND still works hard like a truck should and rides like a limo. Best part is when the grandkids sit in the back and can't kick my seat, they can't even project vomit that far!!! I still have a nice tool box in the bed, and with the tailgate down I can haul lumber, but who needs to when you can just tow everything.
I would buy another one tomorrow, I just LOVE the truck. Not had any problems thus far, don't see any coming any time soon. It's easy to wrench and maintain, and has SO MANY great modding opportunities, hard to make up your mind what to do first, so I have mostly done a little exterior decorating.
Since I'm one of the few gals on this site that is a diesel nut, I bet your wife will truly get into having a MegaCab, female first-hand knowledge.

Well I'm 6' 2" and I can put both the rear seats down and sleep comfortably (corner to corner) when I go out hunting too early
also you can put a large baby seat on the short side and still fold down the long side both ways. ALSO it reclines!!! Gettin the MEGA was actually my wifes idea I wanted the Quad but once she sat back there she was sold. I didn't like the way it looked at first but now I like it the same or better than a quad.
