Mega cab dually info.

Don't know if this has been posted yet but I thought I'd let you guys know that I was checking the sales restrictions today on Dealer Connect and I noticed that it said 06' Mega cabs were avaialable to order(we all ready knew that cause I have 6 of them coming). Anyhow, it went on to say in single rear wheel only(we also all ready knew that), but after that it says and I quote "dual rear wheels will not be orderable until 2006". So, by the way that reads that would be the 2006 calendar year. It does not clarify whether they are gonna do some kind of short bed dually as ford has done in prior years or go ahead with a long bed mega cab dually, but it does clarify a Mega Cab Dually will be here in the 2006 calendar year! Just thought I'd let you know. My first three are due to arrive in the next five days and I will let you know my first impressions.

Luke, I know that DCX did not extend all of the employee pricing stuff on the 06's like Ford and Chevy had. What are the dealers attitude towards the Mega Cabs? They know they will be big sellers so are they going to hold firm around MSRP, or due to Ford and Chevy offering big discounts on their trucks, will they be willing to deal around invoice price?

I can't say what all dealers are going to do but I would guess with the market as cut throat as it is you will see some decent discounts.

help us non-dealership employeed people, what do you mean by decent discount? Are we talking invoice, invoice + $500, invoice + $1000 ? I guess what I am asking, is if I go to my local dealership to buy a MegaCab and tell him I want invoice + rebates is he gonna laugh at me ?

He might laugh, but what have you got to lose? I don't have any yet so I don't know what the market will take, but I'd think they'll bring $1000 over Invoice? I don't know though, the market is pretty rough right now?

I think I had read somewhere else that DC might make the MC into a dually early next year. I wonder if it will increase the payload and if that's why they're doing it. I think we'll see longbeds and longbed duallys for '07 MY.

My dealer will always give me invoice plus rebates if I order it.

I got three in two days ago and I like em. Pretty nice looking and more room in the back seat than anything you've ever seen. The lookers I have had so far have had nothing but praise for them.

So how does a normal Joe like myself find out what invoice or near invoice on a truck is?
I went by the local dealer today and looked at one. They are HUGE. Makes my F250 look like a single cab.
So anyway the sticker was at 47k loaded up pretty good.
Are there any guesses what the invoice is on this one. megacab, diesel, 4x4, entertainment package......no leather.
thanks
Scott

Yep. When I saw the pictures, I was like, no thanks. Saw one in person...drrroooollll. They are nice. Wait till you climb in them, you'll forget your dislike of the outer in a heart beat. That was my experience. I don't need that much room, but you'll be top dog with that truck.
