I dont believe the 3rd gens have the 3 cyl warm up. That is only a 2nd gen
24v thing. It's been down to -20* a few times here and mine has only done the high idle deal and I have all the latest updates.

Opinions differ, but 3rd gens dont have 3 cylinder high idle. Its not exactly something you wouldnt notcie if it was running on 3...and Ive never had either of my 3rd gens on 3 cylinders

cruise control Idle adjustment is nothing more then PTO RPM control....but it does help the truck warm up faster.....it's there for tow truck cummins and other work trucks with PTO's......it does not go into a 3cyl idle.

Guys all the things that you have talked about I can control myself with my bullydog triple loader. That is from high idle to blinkers to day time run light and fog lights on with high beams and more. No need to take to dealer
I have an 07 5.9

Then I guess what it says in my owner's manual is just Dodge's "opinion."

Wow, way to dig up a really old thread. And yea this has been discussed many of times, 3rd Gens don't do the 3cyl high idle.

Run a search to two, someone on here has pix.

I jumped mine to the parking lights.

You could do that on the older truck but NOT on the newer ones where everything is controlled by the computer. (My BDTD allows the change though)

Sorry if that offends you or something, but you are going have to deal with it until I catch up on the 3rd gen stuff. I haven't done anything with the '07 since we bought it over a year ago except routine maintenance and put fuel in it. Now that it's coming off warranty soon, I'll be doing alot more and you're going to see alot more of me around here on the 3rd gen forums, so get used to it.

If you don't like seeing old threads dug up, don't read them. And keep the attitude to yourself.

-daytime running lamps (must be on in Canada)
-acc on when key is off until u open the door
their is a set time for this and it can be controlled
-the turn signal thing blinks 3 times when tapped, I have this now
- when you open drivers door they all unlock, very use full
- i believe on some you can lengthen the interior light on time
- have your headlights stay on for a set time after you leave your truck, nice when
their is low lighting
-one setting where i seemed to have to brake lights lol, hod to go back and get this
fixed

thats all I can think of now

Um, attitude? Not from me, I'm just making a general statement that is done on millions of fourms by millions of people when someone digs up an old thread. You sir are the one with the attitude problem, don't take offense next time to a typical fourm response, so practice what you preach.

Most of it I'm pretty sure can be done to all 3rd gens. I havnt seen any confirmation from anyone with an older 3rd gen that has the delayed acc off when you shut the key off. Never heard of the turn signal flash 3 times either, so it may just be a newer 3rd gen thing.

I'd really like the signal flash feature, and didn't even know it existed. Just the other day I was thinking of how it's crap that a new GMC Acadia can have it, but Dodge didn't give us the feature!

I'd rather have some dig up an old thread than have someone ask a question that's been asked 5 times in the last 2 months...

... but that's just me...
