Manual Lumbar Support

Well my manual lumbar support broke today. I was reading through old posts about replacing it and ran across a few that said you could simply replace the manual unit itself for under $50. I typed in the part number but was not able to find the part. Does anybody know if that part is still made? or is there a new way to go about fixing the manual lumber support?

This was the thread with the part number in it, page 2
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...lumbar+support

Anyone happen to have a new part number or have dealt with this lately?

Thanks,
Alex

H Brown, thanks for the offer but I was finally able to find it!

I called two dealers and they both said the part number I had must be wrong. Finally, on the third dealer I called they said it was the right part number and they actaully had one in stock. Anyone else that might have theirs break, I was unable to find the part online, but the dealer should have it.

Mine broke and I was going to buy the replacement part, but thought it'd just break again (like my third blend door). I took the piece to a machine shop and had one turned out of some fancy polymer stuff?? like a heavy pliable plastic and haven't had any trouble; except I can't get my manual turn **** to stay on now. Anything other than cheap OEM for me.

Smile manual lumbar

I finally fixed mine yesterday. The metal bracket cut through the foam and the seat cloath.
It was pretty easy. Mine wasn't broken it juts came loose on the inside attachment. I goes in and then makes a 1/4 turn to lock. I ducttaped over the bracket which will keep the lumbar from rotating. I always thorught the lumbar didn't come out enought for my taste, so I added a piece of carpet between it and the foam much better now.

now onto the bottom cushion.

Go the bottom done tonight 1" foam and somw scrap berber carpet. Very nice

My daughter went there for 2 years then said the winters were 2 harsh and transfered to CSU ( wimp). I used to cover Wyo as part of my territory., but we hired some people up there 3 years ago so I don't get there as often as I'd like. ;-(
