Lumbar fixed.
Lumbar fixed.
Sorry if anyone has posted this before. I searched and didnt find anything. Anyways, the white plastic piece in my manual lumbar support for my 2006 model broke as many of yours have. I refused to put another plastic piece in there so i ordered a 3' length of acme thread rod from mcmaster carr (5/8-10 left hand thread). Cut it to the same length as the plastic one grind the end flat so you can drill a hole through it and you're done. It works like a charm and i guarantee i'll never break THAT piece again. Its made of 1018 carbon steel. I believe it was $45 and theres enough to make about 30 of them if you have 29 friends with broken lumbar seats too.
We like pictures...do you have any? If not, could you take it apart and take pictures as you put it back together again. Always faster the second time...
Just kidding on taking it apart...good input on the thread size!

I wish i would have taken pictures. It seemed to me like such an easy fix that surely someone else has already done it. It takes longer to knock the roll pin out and put it back in than it does to make the part you need.
Hmm I didn't think I would see anything on this but here it is! My Kid was fooling around with my Brand new to me 07's lumbar adjustment dial when he told me all of a sudden he heard a pop? and the start shaped handle came out of the seat? Guy's I just payed big for this thing how is this fixed? I could not see anything that was broken??? But it will no longer push the lumbar support out... Yes please I'll buy some too! I sure would love to see how you did this! I sure can't believe just how darn cheap this thing is! Wow!!
Thanks
