electric lumbar

I recently bought a 99 3500 that has the electric lumbar. I know it was extended when I brought it home, but after retracting it, I cannot get it to extend. By way of a search, I see that a few have quit. What I did not see was a common cause or any means to repair them. Anyone been through this? Any words of wisdom? Do I need my rolled up towel, or can I fix it? Thanks in advance!!

Re:electric lumbar

Do you have the factory manual with the elect.diagrams? I am away for the holidays, but someone will get you a answer.I have been into some elect seats, not for lumbar but other problems. And mostly have found broke wires. If the fuse has not blown and the rest of the seat works you will most likley have to get to the switch and test it.Goodluck Rick
