Low End Torque
The setup: Private boat ramp, very step, very short, boat & trailer weigh in at about 7500 lbs.
The problem: In order to get boat on trailer, I had to back the trailer down beyond the end of thee ramp. You could see the trailer wheels fall off a 6 in. step at the end of the ramp into the muddy goo of the Okeechobee waterway. Winched the boat onto the trailer at that point.
The result: The Cummins calmly pulled the loaded trailer up out of the mud, up onto the ramp surface and on up to flat ground without any throtle into from me.
The verdict: Sure doesn't pull like a 6.0
