Locked Out!!!!
With most Chrysler and many other products you can program a 3rd key yourself for free if you have the first and second keys. The keys sell on E-Bay for less than $20 for most cars and the instructions are there also. If you lose one key the locksmith will charge you upwards of $75 to make a second key. If you lose both keys, the charges can go into the thousands. I bought a third chipped key and put it in my vehicles, comes in handy many times. I hid a non-chipped key, stuck in a piece of high density foam, under the vehicle. Thus if I lose a key, or get locked out, I can get into the vehicle and get the chipped key and go home. Extra keys also come in handy when I am out with a buddy and want him to have access to the vehicle if I am out fishing or something. I also found that having an extra key is like insurance, if you buy it, you don't need it.
I never heard that you can program your own keys if you have both... how do you do this?
And I looked on ebay the only keys for 20 bucks where the shells with no elcetronics inside. Any keys with the electronics were 100 plus.

You don't need the great big key, just a regular (grey) chipped blank. They're normally less than 10 bucks on ebay. The instructions to program it as long as you have two existing programmed ones are in the owners' manual. it's worth doing just in case you ever lose one of the big ones, as like was said, they are EXPENSIVE to replace!
On my 07, you CAN'T lock the doors with the power locks if the key is in the ignition, unless you're in the driver's seat. You have to use the manual stem. I thought they were all like that.
