I heard its possible just dont touch the brakes with the rears spinning is what I was told. I'm looking at that for my '01.

I'm fabbing up a line-lock kit for my '05 at the shop and was hoping someone has prior experience with a HydroBoost system...

I would think the ABS would freak out on this one.

Exactly - that's why I have the ABS fuse switch mod...

Don't know about that one, but if there is a way to temp. disable the ABS then the line lock should be a piece of cake. Doing the Hydroboost shouldn't be any different than doing a non-power or vaccum assisted system unless I'm missing something.

Back in the day I made a line lock with a little high pressure ball valve routed inline with the rear brake main feed coming out of the proportioning valve. I would leave it open for normal driving, then when burnout time came just shut the fluid off to the rear brakes.

A line lock is hooked into the brake system after the master cylinder and all it does is hold the pressure to the brakes. You press the pedal down and then hold the botton which closes the valve then you let off the pedal and the pressure stays at the brakes(no problem) til you let off the botton.

I forgot he has a 6 spd which does make burnouts more difficult. Requires a little fancy footwork without a line lock. Moroso still makes a pretty good line lock which cost about $100 bucks. The old ball valve setup was cheap, and it worked, and would work just as well holding the fluid to the front brakes. The neat thing about having it on the rear brakes is you can ease up on the brake pedal a little after the tires get to smoking and just let it creep along to lay loooonnnngggg rubber patches down, which spectators love.

That's right LocoBreath - kind of hard to heel/toe the pedals on a Truck (I don't even do that on the Goat)

I'm going to build my own system with a SS solenoid and safety lockout/activation switch, with the release switch under the DBW throttle pedal.

I may even just engage it on one side, as an added layer of reliability/longevity on 4WD launches.
