Life after leveling kit

Hey guys gotta question, i got a 2006 dodge quad cab shortie. Just got 2 inch leveling kit put on couple weeks ago. I noticed a big change in steering as i expected, however i took it to get it aligned. left there steering wheel was straight as an arrow but i a matter of 2 weeks my steering wheel has moved more and more the right while going straight. Truck does wander alot going down the road. i have checked everything that i disasembled multiple times thinking i forgot to tightin somethin all the way, everything however is tight, anybody had any experiences with this problem... one more thing guy who alighned my truck said ball joints were just slightly loose, probably had another 30000 miles of life left thanks

Your steering box could be going out?? Mine went out with only 800 miles on my 2011 CTD Mega Cab. Alignment was good and my wheel was always about 15 degrees off

Sounds like they didn't tighten something up. I would take it back.

I have had a leveling kit on my truck for 52K miles and no issue from it.

Had my KORE leveling kit in now for about 56K miles, no problems whatsoever like you are having. I would take it back and have them check THEIR work first, maybe something is worng with what they did? If not, it sounds like your problem is in the steering box.

they are both just going to blame each other the shop and the allignment shop, or try and blame some other part (that "suddenly" is going out)
remember its the holliday season and repair garages want to make even more holliday cash.

i have no problems with my revtec leveling kit, i think its only 2" the "kit" is basicly just thicker spring mount disks..

looks good tho!! w/o beiing over the top

On my 03 when I installed the Revtec 2" leveling kit I took it to an alignment shop and he checked it and said everthing was OK I have driven it over 30,000kms 20,000 miles and the wheel is still Ok and it steers good. I think the kit just put the truck back to where it was when it was new, that heavy engine causes the springs to sag.

I have a CTS level on mine. I got it that was. I learned the hard way the the spare is unusable on the front. It rubs on the replacement steering knuckle. I just need to break down one day and get a spacer. There all over ebay for hummer wheels but they'll work. 1/2" will be plenty of clearance and the studs are long enough. Right now, if I have a flat on front, I'll have to move a rear tire up and put the spare on back. A pain but doable. You might want to try yours in the driveway and not on the side of a freeway.

And so far my truck is fine with the kit. Runs strait as an arrow and I've seen no unusual looking tire wear.

I was advised not to put air bags on front suspension due to unstability while towing. I will be putting them on the rear axle for leveling when towing purposes soon. 07.5, 6.7,4x4,hd, SLT, quad cab, auto.
