Lamp out, rear tail light fix

I have removed my rear tail lights so many times to fix that Lamp Out chime and light that I can do it in my sleep. It always fixes it but never a long time. I've tried bulb grease, bending the bulb connecting wires for better contact, cleaning contacts, you name it. Just wondering if they have upgraded the actual bulb holder and socket part? My son has same year exact truck, non diesel and never had a problem.

Yes the part (the circuit board) has been updated. About $20 at the dealer and fixes the problem.

Thanks, I'll do both sides and be done with it. I bet they have sold bunches of them, seems it should be a safety recall as it involves the brake lights.

I did both of mine too with six new bulbs. No issues since.
