kinda sad on security
no wonder they can be stolen so easy
Was changing the tranny fluid in the truck yesterday and noticed a sticker on the frame, had the vin number on it. and then found the sticker on 3 other palces on the frame, under the cab(on the floor pan) on the bed, Which at first made me happy like wow its all over. But then i thought well there all stickers its no wonder its so easy to steal a truck and what not.
Now it all makes sense
Now it all makes sense
all the new vehicles are tag'd this way.
at least mine are.
I was offered a deal from the dealer to etch the vin in all the body panels. i wondered how they could do that in 5 min. thinking it was a scam, or its already there.

That would make sense if it where like stamped into the steel. But its no more than a sticker. lil paper thinger. i dont know how they last. but doesnt seem hard to get rid of
Those stickers leave behind the vin #'s the instant they are pulled off. You have to do something CSI like to read them, maybe a certain kind of light or chemical, but the VIN will be there even when the sticker is gone and it looks like nothing is there.
