I was waiting for this truck. I'm a little disappointed. I wanted it for towing my fiver. Was planing on buying a 36 Carriage next year that puts the combined weight outside want I have now. Six foot bed don't get it.
For the price, one could buy a used 300 hp Cat FL60 Crew Cab hauler or I would have to have it stretched. (more money)
When is Dodge gonna get off it and put the 8ft bed on it. Looks like a bulldog or something.
My 0.02 cents

That's a SWEET unit. I guess I'll have to wait until they put that one on the street now. Hopefully DC will be smart and put in the 6 speed auto and make it a Hybrid so I can get the generator onboard also.
Well, I guess the wife will be happy now that I'm not going to go looking until these babies come out.
The other good thing is that I should be able to switch over my Pullrite Superglide to it.

I like the retro style fenders, But **** Dodge just cant build a crew cab right anymore. Either rear doors are for midgets or the bed is for midgets. Would be nice to have a true crew with a normal bed.

wow that thing is retarded. i can see the 1st gen influence but the 1st gen was a much prettier truck. wonder if this will affect the value of a used 3rd gen DRW quad cab?

Sorry guys but I like it. I think it looks better than the regular dually look. It doens't have that wide bulky look to it. Oh and short beds are good for people like me. I don't haul a bunch of stuff, I just need it for towing the toyhauler.
Gee I wonder how much to convert my SRW 2500 to that dually???

I think it looks fantastic! I like the retro fender flares. I nice break from the bath tubs on the sides of the current big three offerings. Far better than the Peewee Herman fenders on the Chevy. If our heavy 5th wheel didn't have a straight pin with the front of the trailer in front of the pin making a long bed a necessity, I might seriously set out to have one of them short bed mega cab duallies. Red. With a hat!

I agree Jack, my problem is the 8ft ladder that I carry under the hitch and the Generator that sits in the bed when I'm gone for awhile. Aside from all that, the tool box that I don't have now, that I wanted to install, at rail level, won't work either set up the way I wanted to. I guess it will be another couple years before the real thing comes out. The fenders look like an after thought just to cover the outside wheel.
I understand there are many who will buy this just because its a real crew cab and don't need the long bed. The working growd got left out.
In the mean while I stick with ole reliable.
