Isspro wiring with steering column and single pillar
Isspro wiring with steering column and single pillar
Hello all. I am going to install pyro, trans temp, and boost here someday. I have not done this before so I think it is going to take me along time to get it done. I went this way instead of the triple on the dash because I want a clean dash.
For those that have this setup, did you daisy chain the wiring from the steering column then up to the single pillar gauge, or the other way around? I will be using the Isspro dimming pot as well. Is there enough wiring to do this?
Also, which gauge do you prefer on the pillar?
Anyone that knows this stuff in Castle Rock want to lend me a hand for some beer?
I need to find an R sized bit for the pyro gauge. What the heck is an R sized bit?

Yes you can do the wiring like that, from the steering column then up to the single pillar gauge...
IIRC the Drill Bit size 11/32 is what I used...
You can always add extra wire...

There are 3 options of how to hookup the actual dimmer power. Depends on how you want it to operate.
Thanks guys. I found a 1/8-27 NPT tap that says to use a 21/64 " drill bit. That doesn't sound right does it? I should have just got the bits from Genos when I ordered the gauges. I figured I would be able to find what I needed locally.
yes the wiring will work. I wired mine in to the stock dimmer switch. You will get an extra length of orange wire so the tranny temp box will reach to mount the box in the cab. I went with the ISPRO white maching stock guages and it worked out great. I will post some pics latter so you can see what it looks like.
When drilling the pyro eather remove the turbo or start with the smallist bit and work your way to the "R" size. I did the step up and worked fine. Good luck.
