intermittant wipers

intermittant wipers

My wipers are sometimes wiping two or three times instead of once.Sometimes its ok and other times its sporadic and multiwipeing any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. Replaced the wiper motor.

I am currently dealing with the same issue in an 05

As I understand it, about 70% of the time, its the multifunction switch, and the rest of the time, its the motor.

Being as the switch is cheaper, we'll start there, and work outward.

I had been having issues with mine dragging real bad, this winter they finally quit all together... Had to have my motor assembly swapped out a few weeks ago..

try the motor first. what happens is the park circuit in the wiper motor wears out so it doesnt have the reference where to stop.

mine was a little more weird too. I would have my truck parked for a few days and sunny all the time. I would pull out the hose and bucket and start washing it, when i lifted the wiper to wash the front window the wipers would run one cycle then stop. This is with the keys in my pocket.
