ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS ON WHY MY 04 SLT CUMMINS HAS A SHAKE SIDE TO SIDE ONCE IN AWHILE?
WHILE SITTING IDLING THE TRUCK WILL SHAKE FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND THEN QUIT.

Does the engine quit, or the shaking quit? I've never had the whole truck shake, but sometimes I get some shaking in the shifter(6-speed). Seems to come and go. Nowhere as bad as my powerstroke used to though. Could be some bad fuel?

 

Mine shakes a little when I shut her down but not so much when I have run the fuel treatment.

 

SORRY I WASNT CLEAR BUT IT WILL SHAKE IN A SIDE TO SIDE MOTION AND THEN STOP SHAKING MOTOR STILL RUNS STRONG

 

Assume you're talking about a momentary hesitation at idle. I think it's normal. Mine does it only with the A/C is on, guess the compressor is kicking on.

First thing welcome to the site. Second thing don't type in caps it is yelling. I am sorta deaf but I get ****** when I get yelled at. Third thing mine does the same thing once in a while. Moreso after using the exhaust brake on a hill (oops sorry overpass on the interstate here.. ) This is a compression engine they will shake from time to time. Relax and drive it. Have fun. (pulling cotton outa ears now)
