In this picture, you can see my interior. Just below the passenger side air vent in the picture, there is a little back "hook" that is molded into the dash. What the hell is it for? I'm sure it has some wonderful use but I can't figure out what to use it for.

 

it's supposed to be for a trash hook. hang a plastic bag from it. or make your wife feel special and say hey look honey they thought of you and made a place to hang your purse....

panty hook (when the girlfriend is in the truck), or hat hook (when the wife is in the truck)

 

If I run to the store and pick up a few bags of grocerys, I will hang them on the hook to keep them upright....I tried a trash bag, but I have to put a metal clip on it to keep it in place....unless the trash bag is loaded.

My wife caught a set on there, woah boy. I use mine for trash bags and to hold grocerys. Other than that, wait till you find the lip stick holder. If you ordered your truck with the purse hanger they give you the lip sticker holder for free.

 

I hang my air freshner from it.

 

I was thinking it could be used as a CB mic hook, but wasn't sure.

Wifes dad was from Harlan Kentucky. She told me that it would be a good place to hang the holster from.

Basically. I think Mother Mopar just put a hook there because that is the only Screw used to take off the Center Console section, then the rest is just pull off. So they needed something to hide the screw.

Remember, guys, this is MOPAR thinking - its the coat hook! keeps your coat up fron tso you can reach it before you get out - and lets the passenger wipe their feet on it while you drive!

Really though, I agree - it is probably the second most worthless thing MOPAR put on my truck! Bet we don't see them on a lot of future models.
