Installing a Gravity feed tank.
Only reasons the vent would leak fuel from it is. (A) if there is a check valve it's
well mine must not have the check valve or ball plug... i've had my gravity system about a year now & i have to manually valve off between my aux & main tanks such to not spill (don't ask how i know!!!)
is there a difference between the 2nd & 3rd gen fuel caps? i don't think/know if i could simply plug the vent & not have fuel come up thru the filler neck... i guess i would need to check whether or not i have the siphon ball at the end of the filler neck

so if there is a check valve in vent it could not be working or the check valve you installed on filler neck isn't working or u I stalled upside down.... when filler neck get full its supposed to make that check valve ball cut off supply from auxiliary tank....you can check this by opening truck fuel cap and if filled to the rim it's not working correctly. BUT!!!! BE CAREFUL IT WILL START FLOWING OUT WHEN YOU Take cap off... now the newer truck like ram with no cap I think you'd have to push open both flapper doors to make this happen...
