Aus. fuel tank - gravity feed - filter?

I am getting a cross the box aux. fuel tank and will plumb it in a gravity feed manner. Should I put a filter in line or will it slow down the flow.

i use a 86377 carquest 2 micron filter , i had a pump hooked to it for a year before i tried gravity, it works perfect if you send me your email address i can send pix and the disconnected pump is in the background . i have a fitting on the bottom of my 100 gallon l tank connected to a sediment bowl . through the 86377 to the tank never fill the truck tank at the station that way all of the fuel in the truck tank has to go through the 2 micron filter

I had a filter installed with my aux tank on my old truck monted under the bed. The flow was to slow in the first place to notice if it slowed down any with the filter. However, with the filter installed, I can not drain the bottom 1.5 inches of fuel out of my tank. There simply isn't enough fuel weight left to push it through the filter. Just something to keep in mind.
