What if one is paying cash?

The dealer is claiming that invoice on that truck is $42,300
Should I shoot for $41K or try $39K?

Then minus the $3500 in rebates for a total of $37.6K plus TAXES.

Shop around a bit. There are several dealers (Dave Smith in ID, Steve White in NC, etc) who will sell below invoice minus current rebates. I found a local dealer who had 70 Ram 3500’s in inventory and bought one for $10K off list, which is about what Dave Smith quoted and I didn‘t have to fly to ID and drive back.

jrogers,

I would be interested in that if he has what I am looking for.... I will be ready to make my purchase at the end of this first week of July. My friend was supposed to be giving me his "Friends and Family discount (5% off invoice I believe?) But he's been slacking off! Do you mind if I e-mail you?

Two different dealers recently told me that Dodge is no longer accepting orders on 2006 models. That's not to say that a already built truck can't be located.........

They def. can't be ordered anymore.... I've called numerous ones. Unless certain dealers have higher accounts or something than others due to sales volume. Not getting my hopes up with ordering though, that'd be too good to be true for me right now!

The F&F Discount is only 1% off of dealer invoice, not 5%. It may equate to about 5% off of MSRP, but I've never looked at MSRP's. I'm getting it with mine, and it took about 1200 off the price.

I just paid 31,550.00 after 3500 rebate for the 06 mega w/ctd slt2500, tow pkg, lsd, forged alum wheels, prem cloth. sticker was 42050.00
Then you refi through your credit union @ 5.5

Hmm, that's not all that great then... It should be close to like 13% off MSRP. After researching invoice prices online it seems MSRP is roughly a 12% markup from invoice on these trucks.

That sounds very reasonable!? What was the APR offered though Chrylser Financial?
I'm looking to get a standard cab, so I should be able to do even better......
