Incentives / Financing

I've already decided to buy one of these trucks, but now I'm just waiting on the best possible deal. For those of you that have dealt with Dodge in the past are the current incentives the best that they get or do they typically get better later in the summer. Is there anywhere to find out on a monthly or quarterly basis how many units have been sold? I know I'm buying, but I also want the best possible deal and if that means wait then that's what I'll do.

Thanks,
Jerrod

I bought mine 2 years ago in June, and I got about $6k off the sticker because new '05's were on their way in. I think Dodge is offering $3500 or $4500 cash back now on the trucks. Try comparing prices with other dealers. Good luck and let us know what you buy.

It is hard to know what the FUTURE incentives will be. The current is $4500 cash allowance on Ram Trucks. The 0% APR does NOT apply to Ram 2500-3500 trucks. This will expire July 5th.

Since 2007 models will start to make their way in, the prices of 2006 will start to drop as dealers will want to clear their inventory, this should start in June - October.

Remember, car dealers are SNEAKY and will lie.

I waited to get my '03 (sig.) until October 1st of 2003.

Glad I did, the rebates doubled overnight, but the risk I took was that it was the last '03 CTD QC 4X4 left in the state.

I only paid $28,500+tax!!

I just looked at a dealer near me and they show to have 86 CY2006 Cummins 2500 4-door short beds in stock! Wow! They all have MSRP starting at $41,765. I bet it won't be long before they'll wanna make a deal on some of these!

How do you know what the actual invoice is (without just asking)?
I have been contemplating a move myself. (Shoot me now)

I have been wondering where people are getting the $4000/4500 rebate figures from and I think I now know. The $4k+ rebates are for the 1500 excluding the SRT. It is a $4500 rebate for the half-ton. The 2500 and 3500 series with the Cummins gets you a $3500 rebate. This is direct from the dodge web site.

I ended up purchasing mine in March of 04. As some stated the new 05 models were on the way in and they wanted to get rid of the 04's.

Each dealer is allocated so many of each vehicle to fill their floor plan. In the Dallas area, most of the vehicles that any manufacture sells are the SUV's, but to get the quantity of SUV's they need they have to take X amount of trucks and other vehicle. To get rid of the other vehicles that don’t sell well, you will find dealers that will offer their own incentives to help move them. In Dallas the bigger trucks 2500HD and 3500HD do no move as well as the others. In March of 04 during Truck Month, the dealer offered 4k, and so did Chrysler. In the long run the rebates and the floor plan rules allowed me to get the truck down 11k from sticker.

I ordered our new '06 3500 SRW back when 0% was in effect. The dealer (Dave Smith Motors) locked in the 0%, so that we could either get that or whatever the current incentives are. We fly to Idaho tomorrow to pick up the truck, and we're gonna choose the 0% unless the rebates are just unbelievable.

They don't even have a Diesel option? I tried to price out an 06 standard cab SLT, it never gets to the part where you can select anything other than a Hemi?

just ask them what the invoice is, theres nothing to hide.

Im gonna say this.. Try and get invoice - rebates. THe dealermakes a holdback. IF they wont, try telling them you will finance elsewhere. They make a decent amount of money on the backend. My sister got a Honda from a buddy of mine that owns a dealership. He got 2000 bucks by her going through them for financing, and something like $2000 from extended warranty, gap coverage and life coverage. He took a $4k loss on the front end knowing he would make it back up in the back.

Tell them they can make the money on the front or back, not both.
