I guess you could if your talking about the bolts.. They are made to be installed after the painting to give it that "bolted on look". I didn't paing mine on my 05 and I'm not going to paint the new ones..

Here is the Visor's installed!! I just painted the Pocket Flares today but didn't have time to install them due to the fact that it was snowing..

did you wetsand and buff them to get the orange peel affect out of the painted pieces?

i have seen alot of people do that and get a excellent result as if they had a professional shop do it.

 

I did sand them but just enough to loosen any debris and take the oil off of them. Didn't do the cracked peel look never seen it? I bet it does look good though!

Hey Shane. Did you disassemble your mirrors to paint them? How well is the paint holding up from rotating the mirrors back & forth from regular to tow position? Appreciate any help here. Thanks, Lynn.

 

Lynn, I removed them from the truck and that was all.. I hung them from the ceiling by a wire so they were suspended in the air and I could see all the angles.. I did coat them really well with the primer and good coats of paint and never saw any paint come off of them!!
