I must have backed into something with my tailate down and ended up with the tailgate latch handle broken in half. Is that hard to replace? I assume you take the panel off the inside of the tailgate to access that handle? Any trick to reconnecting the rods or whatever connects the latches to the handle assembly? Thanks for the help, guys!

 

Remove the access panel on the inside of the tailgate, then you will remove the 2 nuts that hold the latch in place, at the outside of the tailgate you pull the old latch out then replace with the new one..... shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes.
