Question HOW TO REPLACE '03 map lamps ??

Not sure how to get to the bulbs on the overhead push on/push off map lights.

Would also like to get the whole light/comp console off to look behind it.

Did a search on "map lights" did not find the answer.

Tried to pop out the map light lenses, felt close to breaking so I stopped.

They just pop out... cause if I recall correctly, you need to get into them in order to take off the OHC.

Insert a long flat bladed tool between the curved outboard edge of the map light len and the overhead console. Gently pry map light len inward and downward until the tab is disengaged.

OK I tried again,, I am usually the one everybody asks to do these kinds
of operations but this one just does not feel like its cooporating.

The tab does not want to go in far enough to let the lens swing down.

I also tried to seperate it at the hinge points,, sure felt close to cracking.

Still perplexed.

Ok, or maybe this one... it's hard to tell just which one is which that they're talking about. Oh, and the OHC just in case:
