How much have you hauled in your 2500?
I have had about 4k of concrete in mine...no problem. The truck squats more than it labors...can't even feel the load compared to my old Ford which would take more to squat it than it could move!
Geeze...I'm kinda scared to admit how much weight I had in mine between yesterday and today. Lets just say it exceeded Dodges recommended maximum payload of 2100 lbs by a pretty large margin
. Stupid me didn't ask how much each bucket load of stone weighed until AFTER they were loaded in the bed

I wish I could say the same about my capacity. I had 23-2600 lbs in mine and the bump stops were 1/4" from the axle
. It definitley wasn't a happy truck. Solved that problem with some 5000# Ride Rites with an in cab controller and a tank under the frame for small jobs.

This past week was hauling water and groceries to the hurricane victims in Punta Gorda, FL. Estimated load was 1700-1800 lbs. Never noticed any strain on the engine. Doing 68-70 mph got 21.9 mpg. I can't complain.
I've only loaded up about 1900lbs worth of aux tank fuel, ATV, and gear into my truck. The engine never noticed, but the ride definitely smooths out with weight back there. With the aux tank full and quad in the back it only squats about an inch or two...looks perfectly flat like I had a leveling kit put on
Hmm, 1900 lbs pin weight, 145 lb hitch, 150~lb tool box, me, my wife and her parents ~780 lbs. The truck sat level and towed our 10,400 lb 5th wheel like a champ. No helper springs.
5600 pounds of potatoes it did pretty well but it sounded like a **** mule every time i went over a bump might of had more on it this past weekend with 12000 empty 50lb potato bags but off hand i don't know how much they weigh
3600 pounds of topsoil and landscaping bricks. Engine didn't care, rode like a limo, was on the factory overloads but not more than an inch into them. I have the factory camper, towing, and plow packages on my 2500HD. I'm pretty sure that load would have killed the Ranger I used to drive.
